This is a good opportunity to meet the people who are on the front lines serving the hungry in our area! The shopping area is open 8:00-3:30, Monday through Friday. We need people to help stock, organize, and help at the front desk various days of the week. We have several sites throughout our service area.Īgency Shopping Area – must be at least 18 to volunteerĪt our main warehouse, we have a shopping area where our partner agencies come to stock up their food pantries, soup kitchens, and other feeding programs. Help is also needed in monitoring these sites – training will be provided by Golden Harvest. Kids Cafe volunteers will need to work out a schedule with the coordinator. Volunteers are needed to help with homework assistance, arts & crafts projects, mentoring, and other activities. Kids Cafe sites provide free prepared food as well as homework assistance to hungry children. You may either help for a full shift or come from 8:00-11:00 or 11:00-1:30. Volunteers prepare and serve food for an average of 280 meals a day. Volunteer teams are needed to sponsor days and individuals are needed as fill-ins. The Master’s Table is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year to serve lunch. Masters Table Soup Kitchen must be at least 15 to volunteer This area is great for team building too! The age limit for volunteers in Product Rescue is 13 without adult supervision, and 8 with adult supervision. It is recommended that you call 2-3 weeks ahead of time to schedule a Saturday. The morning shift is from 8:30-12:00 and the afternoon shift is from 1:00-4:00. Groups of 10-25 people can schedule a shift in Product Rescue on Saturdays. We ask that volunteers stay at least 2 hours on the weekdays they do come. Individuals and groups of all sizes are welcome during these times. The Product Rescue warehouse, Faith Food Factory, is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 8:00-4:30 and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00-8:00.
